Praktijk voor endodontie
Veerle Gunst

Veerle Gunst graduated as an endodontist at the KULeuven, and has gained experience both in Belgium and abroad:

  • Veerle Gunst obtained her diploma as a general dentist from the KULeuven in 2007.
  • She then started specialist training in Endodontics at the KULeuven under Professor Lambrechts, which she completed magna cum laude in 2011, with congratulations from the jury.
  • During her training, she undertook work placement experience at the Technische Universität Dresden
  • Following her training, she undertook work placement experience at the Department of Endodontics at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
  • She started her career as a dentist-endodontist at the endodontic practice Het Kanaal 95 in Mechelen.
  • In 2013, she set up the Praktijk voor Endodontie (Endodontics Practice) in Boortmeerbeek, together with colleague Bart Geebelen, where she will continue to work part-time (www.praktijkendodontie.be).
  • In 2017, she set up a second referral practice at home for Endodontics in Brussels (www.endodontiegunst.be).

In addition, Veerle Gunst is also academically active as:

  • Clinical instructor in Endodontics KULeuven, 2014-2019
  • Member of the Flemish Society for Endodontics
  • Member of the ‘Leuvense Universitaire Tandheelkundige Vereniging’ (Leuven University Dental Association)
  • Author of various scientific articles in the International Journal of
  • Endodontics (research topic: cervical external root resorption)

Treatment following referral by your dentist

Our practice only provides endodontic treatment, following referral by the general dentist. Applying the very latest scientific advances, Veerle Gunst incorporates a gentle approach which ensures that the patient’s treatment is as comfortable as possible. After the treatment, we take the time to clearly inform the patient how the treatment progressed, using clinical photographs.
